Murtaza Solangi on Monday urged media to include the version of ECP in all election-related news.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Solangi on Monday urged the media to include the version of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in all election-related news.
“Stick to the facts and verify if there is any doubt,” said the minister in a post on X, formerly Twitter. The minister’s post also included a press release from the ECP, which rebutted false news on a matter related to the elections.
The press release clarified that the final list of polling stations is published 15 days before the elections, allowing voters to access their block code, constituency number, polling station, and other details.
The commission added that preliminary lists of polling stations for constituencies are currently available, and voters can submit objections and suggestions to the District Returning Officer until Thursday.
The District Returning Officer will make decisions by the 17th of this month, with final lists of polling stations set to be published 15 days before the elections. Voter details will be accessible on SMS 8300 after the final lists are released.
Additionally, the ECP informed voters intending to cast postal ballots to obtain necessary information from the electoral rolls at the offices of the respective District Election Commissioners.
